Doula

Birth & Postpartum Care

Serving San Diego

Hello, I am so glad that you are here! I am a doula serving the San Diego community, where I was born and raised. A passion for women’s health, maternal care, and families has lit a fire in me. Growing up, I often asked my mom to tell me my birth story before bed. Sometimes I still call her to hear it again. Then I discovered podcast and birth videos, where I was captivated by the stories of powerful birthing people as they welcome babies hearthside. I knew my heart and soul were meant to be a part of supporting these beautiful birth stories. I knew I was meant to be a doula!

In 2023, I completed my birth doula training with DONA, Doula’s of North America. Then, in 2024, I received postpartum training with DONA, expanding my birth work tool box further. As well as maintaining my CPR certification. Before supporting families in births, I worked with them in childcare in both the private and day-care settings for over 4 years. Now, working alongside expecting and established parent(s) and families, each one holds a special space in my heart and life.

The road I’ve taken and where I’m headed:

Since becoming a doula, I have volunteered with Operation Doula, providing volunteer doulas to military families here in San Diego. I am a military wife and know how having support during transitional times in life can make all the difference! Besides Operation Doula, I have worked at a private practice, attending births, which is where Birth With Blaise was born. Often, I have held space for “faith-based” births to the Christian community, which I continue to offer when requested. Although it is important to me to serve individuals regardless of living situation, beliefs, insurance type, and identity. I feel it is a human right to be cared for equally, with respect, consent, and unconditional love. I am always willing to come together and decide how I can best serve YOU, right where you are in life.

My journey into birth work and maternal care is ever growing. I am committed to continue learning and growing to better serve those I work with. I am currently pursuing the role of IBCLC, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, locally at UCSD. While also regularly attending other educational events to gain further cultural competency, compassion, and skills through evidence-based resources and the voices of others.

As I worked with families through their birth experiences, my calling to support others in transitional seasons of life called me further. This led me to become postpartum doula trained. Because everyone deserves to be held, cared for, and nurtured into their 4th trimester.

I am truly blessed to work with people during such an intimate season of their life. Birth is sacred, raw, and emotional. It is my job to protect and honor all those who have birthed and all of those who will come to birth. I cherish all the BIRTHdays I have been apart of and am excited for all the BIRTHdays I will be invited to!
